Manifesto: buckle the fuck up
- power
- mean
- the helpless
- humanity
Byte This says "fuck back at you" to the fake-tears crowd fearing for their precious bubble. They're fooling people for clicks and profit, and this show's job is to be louder with the truth than they are with the cruelty. Every episode drags back to one question: how did America get this easy to fool, and how do we claw back what the Woe Merchants are stealing while they cry about it?

Moss (00:01) Hi, I'm Moss, and you're listening to episode zero of Bite This. This is my manifesto episode that I'm hoping will be at reference point so that people can listen to this and understand what they're getting into when they listen to my multi episode per week installments. I think about this show as having three audiences. So imagine a room where you've got three doors.
One leads into room one, and inside there are the harmed. They're the men and women, the kids who got worked over by a con. They're still paying the note on a lie somebody sold them for profit. You're the protagonist of this show and you're why I'm here. Every time. The whole machine points at your chair. Second room is the witnesses, mostly my own people. You've been in the kitchen at the family party biting your tongue while some drunk uncle or not so drunk uncle.
recites talk radio scripture or says something really dumb, every word of it a payday for somebody who'd step over his dead corpse to make rent. I don't need you to be loud. I don't need you to be obnoxious. I'll do that for us. I don't want anybody missing a family dinner over this. But when we all just stay nice, the racists and the punishers and the quiet people who sit and enable them give permission. Nice is how we got here.
So we stop being nice. We expect decency out loud and we hand it back to all of our friends, the people we love. Room three, and this is the one I care about the most. These are the influenzables. These are the ones who bought some of it, maybe all of it, sold a story by somebody who knew exactly what he was doing, and still, underneath it, a working brain and a beating conscience exist.
You're not my enemy and you're not the reason this show draws any breath. I'm not gonna scream at you. I'm gonna hand you the paper, the actual paper, the receipts, the evidence. And then there's who this show isn't for. I call the fuckers, the woe merchants. They worked out a long time ago that outrage sells better than truth and cruelty better than both.
Some do it for money, some for the plain power, and some just love the animal joy of watching somebody smaller and weaker them than them be denigrated, be hurt from their own hand. I just know I'm not here to debate them, and you can't reason a man out of a con he's being paid to run, so I'm not gonna talk him out of doing it. That's not the point. I'll talk about them. I have receipts in my fist to the people they're still trying to fool.
And we're gonna make sure people understand that the con is still alive and well, whether they believe it or not. The show doesn't do nuance on one question, whether it's okay to hurt people for money. So every episode, victim first, receipts second, their own signed names third. My mouth is last, well not last, but by then you'll know it's earned and all of the F bombs will be there too.
Show how I care. They'll lie about what I am, so let me say it now. I'm never gonna take anybody's health care. I'm never gonna tell anyone who to pray for, how they can love or who to love. I don't care what anybody does with their poles or their holes, and I'll never want a single person standing on one less human right than the person standing right beside them, including the people I'm about to name and point out.
That's their weapon, that's what they do. It's not mine, it's not my target, and it's not what I think America is. I'm not putting my hands on anybody, I'm a lover, not a fighter, I don't get violent, but I get mad, and mad with a stack of paper is all I can bring and all I want to do through this pod. So the day they come for me and they will come for me, that's not the day I lose. That's the day we begin to win.
When the fuckers are scared enough to swing at you, you've stopped being noise, and we've started costing them something, and they deserve to pay us back. I'm not going to describe the machine and ask you not to trust it, I'm going to run it. So look forward to episode one coming very soon.
And please: buckle up.
